All the raw elements processed into our bagged Lost Circulation Material are collected at their sources as recycleable goods.
Wood shavings, off-cuts and other lumber byproducts are transported to our plant and processed to become bagged LCM in the form of sawdust.
Lone Pine also purchases scrap steel from local scrap dealers and sells it to overseas markets.
Lone Pine views its environmental responsibility as more than complying with Federal and Provincial environmental laws and guidelines.
Scrap wood, burned in a custom-designed incinerator, is used to heat work areas at our plant. Wood byproducts are also used to fuel our dryer, which dries scrap wood before it is processed into Lost Circulation Material. All our used engine oil, and some provided by neighbouring farms and businesses, is used to heat some areas of our plant during the winter.
